a late debut for a new mug even though it is a widely recognized fact that i have too many coffee cups. i can’t believe i haven’t used it here before…

from february 26th, my last latte (until today, check back for posting), as i did my small part to destroy the ozone. it was an accident, honest. i was maybe a little upset at a coworker and a little short of temper and maybe the four-inch frost build up in the freezer was a little more than i could stand, but when i chipped away at the ice with the flat head screwdriver and hammer i did not intend to puncture the freon line – i swear it.

it happened and i’m sorry and i’m going to buy a new office frig. until then i have been suffering with americanos and espressos solamente*.

isn’t that punishment enough?

*solamente = only, in spanish. a very useful word to know

i think this was the thirteenth. i toiled away on my own i think. or maybe not. it’s all very indistinct and hazy now, being so long in the past.

i think it was a good cup. i certainly enjoyed the picture of a cow for sale that i found in the papers we use to box up shipments.

i believe i ran out of milk, as i rarely choose to have a black coffee, except sometimes i do, but since july was so very long ago (i have a mind like a dog), i just don’t know.

once again, time obscures the history behind this hieroglyphic cup of coffee. the cup is actually made for that really strong really lovely hot chocolate, but i was drawn in by the “paper cup” look, it’s diminutive size and my overwhelming sense of want took it from there. it’s just about twice as big as a normal shot of espresso should be. i should make some of that really strong really delightful chocolate though.

extremely bothersome that these are out of order. a very large part of me cries to only post in chronological order, but then i may never get through the coffees and “today’s” cup will always be “future whenever i get around to it” cup and that just doesn’t have the same ring. if you ever come over though, i can force you to watch the itunes slideshow of todayscupof in chronological order! it only takes three hours!

yowzie! look what was hiding on the mac desktop behind img-0756 (of the dog) and a curious file folder titled “stuff on desktop” which i imagine includes stuff from the desktop. a missed day of coffee with a tantalizing glimpse of an utterly messy coffee station.
