this is quite possibly the best cup of coffee i have ever made. ever. i feel like such a fraud.

i'm so ashamed

local family farm half and half, locally roasted coffee delivered by bicycle, recyclable and recycled containers, taken home in my own bag, bag credit donated to whatever it is that bag credits get donated to in super-green organic locally-sourced (expensive) grocery store chains, served in a reused 99 cent coffee cup saved from a landfill.

i made fun of myself the entire twenty minutes i spent shopping there, so maybe i’m not too much of a fraud.

oh yeah, i didn’t compost the grounds when i was finished.

my coffee tastes terrible, but my foam is fine and uniform. look at that! it’s working already!

training a new employee which gives me time to steam milk and eat nutella off a spoon and take photos of coffee. it actually is a lot of work, training someone. by 3 pm i’ll be exhausted and asking her to just sweep the floor rather than do something requiring my synapses.

i can’t remember now why i was so happy on thursday, it’s wednesday of the next week now and that is very long time for such a mind as mine. perhaps it was just beautiful weather. yes, i think that must be it. or maybe that is why i referred to it as absurd, there was no real reason for being happy…i just was. what a nice thing.

sometimes i need a little something beautiful and china is the only option because my ugly & rage does not get dealt with properly by me and just spreads out like an oil slick in high seas. sorry if your plumage gets covered, i’ll buy you a bottle ivory dish detergent tomorrow.

this coffee also tastes like dirt. i will work on my attitude. maybe the next cup will taste better if i try really hard to be in a good mood.

i should really listen to that little dog more. he knows a thing or two about people.

i didn’t get much sleep lastnight, so i haven’t much to say. it’s coffee. it tastes a little like dirt. somehow that’s ok.
